Scuba Diving Florida Keys & Miami

For water lovers around the world, few experiences can compare with scuba diving.

Scuba diving makes it possible to work or swim underwater using portable breathing equipment. Tanks mounted on the diver's back contain compressed air, allowing the scuba diver to stay underwater much longer than the skin diving or snorkeling.

While scuba is an acronym or self-contained underwater briefing apparatus, the term itself has become a term of art.  Scuba can be used to describe many various diving uses. Some include recreational diving, ice diving, wreck salvage, military diving, commercial and construction diving, and exploration.

While considered relatively safe, scuba diving offers its share of potential safety hazards. Decompression sickness, Nitrogen Narcosis, and oxygen toxicity are all potential dangers of which divers must remain aware.
